My name is Morgan D. Kauffman. I’m a forecaster, teacher, writer, researcher, systems thinker, & policy analyst.
I first became fascinated with complex systems, systems modeling, and policy issues in middle school and have been working on them in one form or another for almost 20 years.
I earned a BS in Geology and an MS in Strategic Forecasting, both from the University of Houston. I do forecasting and systems modeling for consulting clients and I am an adjunct professor at the University of Houston, teaching the Systems Theory course in the Strategic Foresight graduate program. I am also in the process of writing a book with the current working title of “Rethinking America: Getting Serious About Poverty, Inequality, and Economic Growth,” a systems-based analysis of many of the structural problems facing the US and a set of policy proposals to address those problems.
